Sideswiped

You came back Like an ugly Monday morning Swiping me down As if I had no strength I never saw you coming Completely unexpected guest Wrapping you arms right Around my brittle soul I fought the feelings But to my disgust You reared your ugliness Taken my breath Why did you have to come Now I have to fake Feelings I long to not waste On this dreary day © Christina M. A Song So Pleasant

Listening to your song As you perch among the branches. Beautiful in voice To a song so pleasant The cool crisp air Carries your voice for miles Cheering hearts around To a song so pleasant Attentive to your chorus Your notes penetrate the soul For a song to ones heart To a song so pleasant This beautiful Easter mourn You sing of God’s praises He has risen, saving our breath of air To a song so pleasant ©Christina M. Life is about chances She told her young child. You must live on the faith All things will turn to good. The young child asked “Then why do I see you cry?” The mother responded to The innocence of her young one, “Those tears you’ve seen, Are ones of joy. For God has seen many a hard times, Yet we always pull through.” The child hugged his mother And quickly ran off. As she pondered the words Or her little one, She remembered the words of scripture, “I have shown you in all things that by working hard in this way we must help the weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, ‘There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.’ Acts‬ ‭20:35‬ © Christina M.
